A 25 ton mobile crane is the machine for most everyday lifts in Abu Dhabi: rooftop AC units, light steel, small machinery, generators and skids, signage and the loading of fabricated sections onto trailers in Mussafah workshops. At a short radius a 25 ton crane lifts close to its rated capacity, but as the load moves further out the capacity drops quickly, so a 25 ton crane that has to reach over a building or across a yard may only safely lift a few tonnes. What can a 25 ton crane actually lift?
Close to 25 tonnes only at a very short radius. In real jobs, where the load is some metres from the crane, expect a few tonnes to around ten tonnes depending on the distance. That is why we ask for the radius before confirming the crane.
