When a lift has to happen on schedule, the margin for error is measured in minutes, not days. Maxtgc's mobile crane fleet runs from 25-tonne units for light steel and rooftop plant up to a 500-tonne all-terrain crane for heavy industrial lifts, and every crane leaves our Mussafah yard fully inspected, load-tested and paired with documentation your site safety officer will actually accept on the gate.

We size the crane to the lift, not the other way around. Our team reviews your load weight, radius, lift height and ground-bearing conditions before a machine is dispatched, so you are not paying for tonnage you do not need or waiting on a crane that cannot reach the pick point.

Every mobile crane is supplied with a certified operator and banksman as standard. Larger cranes and oversized loads travel under the correct movement permits, which our transport team arranges in-house, so the lift and the journey are planned as one job.

How we plan a crane lift

Every booking starts with four numbers: the weight of the load including rigging, the radius from the crane to the pick-up and set-down points, the height the load has to clear, and where the crane can stand. From those we check the load chart for the crane configuration and confirm a machine with margin in hand, not one working at its limit.

We also ask about the ground. Outriggers concentrate the crane's weight and the load onto four pads, so soft, backfilled or recently excavated ground may need mats or a different crane position. Raising this before the crane leaves the yard is what keeps a lift from being stopped on the day.

Permits and road hours for crane moves in Abu Dhabi

Mobile cranes travel as heavy vehicles, and Abu Dhabi restricts heavy vehicles on city roads during morning and afternoon peak hours, so crane arrivals are timed around those windows. Larger cranes, and cranes that travel with separate counterweights or boom sections, can also need route approval as an oversized load before they move.

Our transport team arranges these approvals in-house and plans the journey with the lift. For sites that check documents at the gate, the inspection certificate, load chart and operator credentials are sent ahead so the crane is cleared to work when it arrives.

Mobile crane rental FAQs

What size mobile crane do I need?

It depends on the load weight, radius and lift height rather than tonnage alone: a 50-tonne crane at a tight radius can out-lift a 100-tonne crane working further out. Send us the load weight and site layout and we will confirm the right crane class, free of charge, before you commit to a booking.

How much does mobile crane rental cost in Abu Dhabi?

The rate depends on the crane size, how long you need it, the site location and whether a movement permit is required. Send us the lift details and dates and we will send a transparent AED quote.

Does the crane come with an operator?

Yes. Every mobile crane is supplied with a certified operator and banksman as standard.

How quickly can a crane reach my site?

Same-day mobilisation is standard for standard lifts in Abu Dhabi, Mussafah and ICAD. Larger cranes, oversized moves and sites further afield such as Dubai and Ruwais are scheduled, typically 24 to 48 hours ahead or around the permit approval.
