What to plan for in ICAD
Headroom and roof openings
Inside a building, headroom limits how far the boom can be raised, so the crane size has to be chosen with the roof height in mind. Measure under beams, ducts and the opening itself and send the figures.
Machine weight and lifting points
Use the manufacturer's data plate for the weight, and find out whether the machine has lifting eyes, a base frame or forklift pockets. An asymmetric machine that looks symmetrical is the most common cause of a lift going wrong.
